Creative Industries Defined

The three-pronged project is about educating creative youth in all areas of the creative industries and to develop and grow entrepreneurial opportunities in Bermuda, whose economy is dominantly reinsurance. We are providing funding and venture capital resources to business and institutions in the creative industries. We are building creative industries that take advantage of Bermuda's beauty and tax status to act as a third pillar of the economy; and to allow disadvantaged youth to profit from the success of these ventures through a 20% participation by the Makeda Trust in Creative Industries Ltd. Once this economic/philanthropic model becomes sustainable, it is planned to use it in similar situations around the world such as the Caribbean and low income US communities.
